How to Hatch Eggs in Hatch And Fry

Hatching is step one of Hatch And Fry’s published loop: hatch eggs to unlock new animals, then raise them. Official thumbnails show a nest of three pale eggs under a blue dinosaur, a grass-chewing cow, a buffalo, and a chef about to fry a chicken. This guide is how to hatch on purpose so the cook guide always has meat. If you have not finished Getting Started, do that first.

Find the hatch station

On a typical tycoon plot the nest, incubator, or hatch button sits near the animal pens, not inside the restaurant. Walk the farm half of the map until you see eggs or a hatch prompt (E on keyboard, tap on mobile — controls). If the prompt is grey, you are out of eggs or cash. Redeem RELEASE if you have not, then buy the cheapest egg the shop allows.

Do not stand in the grill while you wait for a hatch animation. Queue the egg, then go process or serve. Hatch time is a timer, not a minigame.

What to hatch first

Follow the animal tier list:

1. Fast livestock (chickens and similar) — they exist in the hero art for a reason. They keep the kitchen alive while slower animals grow.
2. Bulk livestock (cattle, buffalo) — the “before and after” thumbnails turn these into steak rows. Hatch them as soon as pens and processing exist.
3. Spectacle eggs (dinosaur nest) — hatch when the kitchen is already printing cash. A rex that you cannot process is a statue.

Raise everything you hatch. The official text says animals grow and earn while you are offline. A hatched animal left in inventory instead of a pen is a wasted tick.

Raising after the hatch

Growth is not optional flavor. Processing wants a finished animal. Feed or wait according to the HUD (hunger bars, growth meters, or a simple timer — the live UI can change after the Big Update). Then send the animal to the processor so meat appears for the grill.

If growth feels slow, you are not looking for a hatch script. You are looking for more pens, better animals, or time. Offline progress is the intended catch-up. Close Roblox cleanly after filling pens; that is the auto farm close-out.

Rare eggs without a drop table

Lemon’s Projects has not posted hatch percentages. Anyone quoting “0.1% dinosaur” is guessing. Use official art as a bestiary, not as odds:

• Chickens exist.
• Cows exist.
• Buffalo exist.
• Dinosaurs and egg nests exist as a marketed hatch fantasy.

When the in-game index lists names, they will be copied onto animals. Until then, hatch for role (fast, bulk, rare), not for a wiki-invented Latin name.
